Donations

The Clown Doctors programme relies on donations to meet costs such as training, delivery and resources.  You can support us in a number of ways, including by making a one-off donation or by contributing regularly to the programme. Any support will directly benefit children and their families at a vulnerable and stressful time.

Newcastle Healthcare Charity

If you would like to make a donation to the Clown Doctors Programme in the Royal Victoria Infirmary and the General Hospital then you can now do this with the help of the lovely people at the Newcastle Healthcare Charity!  Please send a postal order or cheque (made payable to 'Newcastle Healthcare Charity') to The Charitable Funds Department, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals, The Freeman Hospital, Newcastle, NE7 7DN.  Please don't forget to mention that the money is for the Clown Doctor Programme!

There are lots of other ways that you can help to support us: regular standing orders, payroll giving, share giving, Gift Aid, online giving and legacies.  And of course you can fundraise for us- past events include a bungy jump, and last year our brave friend Lindsey  ran the Great North Run on our behalf!

  

The Raise a Smile! Campaign

Child Smile

Raise a Smile! is a partnership campaign led by TIN Arts in conjunction with the Children's Foundation, who aim to improve children's health in the North East. We are looking to work with all businesses and retailers to set up fundraising days / special events, and we will even send along the Clown Doctors to add to the mayhem!

We are organising a series of events aimed at bringing a smile to all and raising funds to support the Clown Doctors delivery in local paediatrics departments. If your company would like to benefit from these unique profile-raising events then please contact Clare on 0191 384 0728.

Corporate partners

A partnership with TIN Arts, who run the Clown Doctors programme, will offer your business the opportunity to work with a company with charitable aims. There are several key benefits:

  • Enhancement of Corporate Social Responsibilities objectives.
  • Dealing with sick children and their families, the Clown Doctors programme offers the ‘feel-good' factor with a wealth of news stories which will regularly receive television and press coverage.
  • Businesses have a unique opportunity to help bring laughter to this vulnerable group, and to see first hand how their generosity can make a difference to young patients and their families.
  • The programme offers a new form of therapeutic treatment, replacing medicine with merriment and offering young patients a way of contributing to their own recovery through humour and play.

TIN Arts are constantly fundraising to support this rewarding programme and all sizes of donations can help.

Support could include:

  • A cash donation
  • Funds raised by employees or clients
  • Donations of specific goods and services
  • Other forms of support where applicable


Donations of any size are accepted and we will work with you to agree how best to profile the support you offer to the programme.
